Connect Claude Code and Codex over MCP

Connect Minga once as an MCP server, and your own Claude Code or Codex session can work with your projects from the terminal: read where a project stands, capture an idea or a bug, record a KPI number, answer what waits on you, and message Lea. It signs in as you, with OAuth, and follows the same rules as the app.

The server is https://app.minga.run/mcp.

The app shows the same steps with copy buttons, under Connect Claude Code or Codex: on Home while you get set up, and in Account › Connected apps, which also says when a client has connected.

  1. Add Minga for every repo (user scope):

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user minga https://app.minga.run/mcp
  2. Sign in:

    claude mcp login minga

Or, inside a session, run /mcp, choose minga and Authenticate.

  3. Your browser opens. Sign in to Minga if needed, then press Allow on the consent page.

  4. Check the connection:

    claude mcp get minga

Claude Code keeps the tokens and refreshes them by itself.

The page asks “Allow Claude Code (minga) to use Minga as you?”, with the name the client registered, and says what that means: it can read your projects, change plans, capture items, answer questions and message your leads, as you. It shows the account you are signed in with and the local address it will send you back to. Press Allow only if you just started this connection yourself. Approvals of plans and outward actions stay in the app.

Ask in plain words; the session picks the tools.

  • “Where does Dictly stand?” reads the project: the brief, milestones, items and what waits on you.
  • “Capture a bug in Dictly: export fails for emoji file names.” puts it into triage.
  • “Mark DIC-140 done: fixed in #318.” closes an item as you.
  • “Record this week’s activation for Dictly: 41%.” records a KPI sample.
  • “What needs me?” lists what waits on you across your projects.
  • “Ask Lea what she would do next.” posts to Lea’s chat and waits up to 40 seconds for her reply.

You pass the project as its name or slug, or the session uses the git remote of the repo you are in.

The full list, with arguments and limits, is in Reference › MCP tools. Messages you send this way show in the chat with your name and “via Claude Code” or “via Codex”.

Over MCP you can answer only plain questions: ones whose options change nothing in the plan and that hold up no item. Plan approvals, review picks, permission prompts, outward actions and questions that hold work come back with a link to decide them in the app.

Access tokens last 15 minutes and refresh by themselves; refresh tokens last 30 days. Every call checks your membership again, so removing you from a workspace takes effect on the next call.

In the app: Account (your avatar) › Connected apps › Disconnect. Access ends within 15 minutes.

From the terminal you can also sign the client out:

claude mcp logout minga
