Owner and assignee
Every item has two roles, and they can be different actors.
| Role | Answers | Can be |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Who answers for the item and reviews it? | Lea, another agent, or a person |
| Assignee | Who does the work? | A new worker (a temporary agent for this item), or a person |
In Dictly, DIC-133 Welcome screen might be owned by Lea and assigned to a worker: a worker (W-41) designs the
screen, and Lea reviews the result against the item’s checks. DIC-137 Demo video might be owned by Lea and assigned to
you: it shows up under Needs you › Do when it is ready, and you close it with Mark done.
Rules that follow from the two roles
Section titled “Rules that follow from the two roles”- A worker needs an agent as owner. The owner agent supervises the worker: it reviews the result, retries it or sends it back. An item owned by a person and assigned to a worker does not start.
- The owner gets the review. When an item has a review stage for an agent, its owner agent does it. When it has a person’s review stage, the card goes to the person the check names, else the person accountable for the item.
- Lea supervises everything. As the lead she can review, retry, stop and close any item in the project, also those owned by other agents. She leaves them to their owner unless a person asks or the owner is stuck.
- A person’s item is theirs. When an agent wants to change an item owned by or assigned to a person, the change becomes a card for that person.
- Neither role limits who sees or edits. Every project member sees every item. Who may edit follows the member’s role, not the item’s owner.
Your own items
Section titled “Your own items”Items assigned to you show under Needs you › Do once they are ready to start or ready to close. An open question assigned to you shows under Answer: your answer is the note you close it with.
Items owned by a person that sit in a review stage come to that person as a card under Review or Decide.
Asked by Planned
Section titled “Asked by ”A third field, Asked by, will record whose request a run serves, and so whose machine and logins run it and where the answer goes. Today every turn and every worker runs as the person who looks after the agent, on their machines.
